Homemade Linzer cookies are (finally) ready to go! (But no, they’re not quite as easy as 1, 2, 3.) Here’s what I did:
1. Roast hazelnuts for 10 minutes. Rub between dish towel or hands to remove skins.
2. Make Linzer cookies- I used this (plain dough) and this (hazelnut dough) recipe. The dough for the first was a little crumbly and hard to handle, but I think I liked the plain, shortbread taste better!
3. Assemble into gift bags. Try not to eat them first!
