Feb 4/Biscotti Cookies

Some nights, you just have to make a batch of cookies (and taste test one…or two…or three. You know, just to make sure they’re edible).

Tonight I tried out this “Speedy Biscotti” cookie recipe from the Jan/Feb issue of Martha Stewart Living. I didn’t have enough corn meal, so I subbed some corn grits and steel cut oats. It made for an interesting texture. Tastes great when dipped in milk though!

In other news, Pat and I finished Freaks and Geeks tonight. The ending (slash all of Lindsay Weir’s decisions) irk the middle school teacher in me!
